epsotech’s green journey – from ocean to nature

epsotech launches epsoNATURE - a new epsoearth product

Jülich, May 2023 PRSE Amsterdam opens its doors to experts and key players in the plastics recycling industry. Also epsotech presents itself as a pioneer in the field of post-consumer recycling together with Healix – a leading innovator in the plastic fiber waste management.

Since 2021, epsotech has been increasingly committed to the topic of sustainability, in particular to the ideal of the circular economy. The group's mission is to sustainably expand its product portfolio, increase the use of CO2-reducing materials and develop innovative products that enable a future worth living.

With Healix, epsotech has found the perfect partner for the next stop on the green journey. Healix objective is to produce recyclable polymers of such high quality that they are suitable for closed-loop recycling. Besides the transformation of used fishing nets and ropes, Healix offers virgin-like polymers from farming and agricultural applications.
“A perfect addition to the epsoearth portfolio”, says Daniel Hefele - Business Development Director epsoearth. “First, we cared about the ocean – now we also care about the nature. Besides solely looking on the maritime environment we found an additional waste stream coming from the agriculture segment”.

Healix offers a 100% recycled and EuCertPlast certified HDPE source from tulip nets suitable for plane and thermoforming applications. “Plastic is here to stay, what will and needs to change is how we use and dispose it”, explains Marcel Alberts – founder of Healix. “We are looking forward working with epsotech, a strong partner that actively supports our mission. Companies of the future know that its success depends on its relationship with society and the environment”.

epsotech is not only dedicated to sustainability and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices but has also taken a number of initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, including the use of renewable energy sources, the implementation of energy-efficient processes and the reduction of waste and emissions. This has already been proven by the EcoVadis Silver Award, and now epsotech is striving for Gold.

About healix.eco:

Healix helps breaking the plastic wave by creating a circular future for plastic fiber waste. By using our break-through purification technology we convert old ropes and nets from fishing and farming that previously couldn't be recycled into certified circular polymers. Our eco-friendly HDPE and PP raw materials help to reduce CO2 emission and eliminate the use of virgin plastics. By keeping plastic in the economy, we keep it out of the environment.
