Divestment of fibre production

epsotech with consistent focus on core business

Jülich, May 2022 epsotech Holding GmbH will sell its Danish subsidiary epsotech Denmark A/S to industrial group Primo at the end of June 2022.

The epsotech Group continues to focus on its core business, the production of high-quality and sustainable plastic sheets and films and will sell its Danish subsidiary epsotech Denmark A/S to the industrial group Primo, an international manufacturer of plastic components and profiles, as of June 30.

With this step, epsotech is divesting its non-core fibre production. At the same time, the remaining sheet production in Denmark will be consolidated at the epsotech production sites in the UK and Germany in a carve-out; this will be encompassed with investments in the expansion of production capacities at both sites.

"With this transaction, we not only succeed in taking another important step in focusing our portfolio, but it also enables us to further accelerate our investment strategy in sustainability and recycling, which we started last year," explains Michael Hangelmann, CEO of epsotech Group.

About epsotech:

In 2022, epsotech will generate sales of around EUR 160 million with approximately 500 employees. After the sale of the Danish subsidiary, the group of companies has 6 production sites in 5 European countries, representing a total production capacity of approx. 100,000 tonnes/year.
