epsotech Germany launches new ERP system

Jülich, March 2022 epsotech’s digitalization journey began in 2020, and now the first site has gone live - somewhat later than originally planned.

The main goal of the transition to one ERP system across the group has been to achieve a better interaction and integration of our seven locations and enable us to work as one company.

“We are very proud to announce that the system "Go Live" at epsotech Germany GmbH has been successfully implemented during the turn of the year 2021/ 2022”, says Daniel Faller, Executive Director Group Finance & IT at epsotech and ERP project manager. “Our seven sites serve different product segments – and they use seven different ERP systems in the process. The rollout is about combining the many different systems under one roof. But that's not all: transparency regarding customer requirements, purchasing and production capacities was at least as important. Now the first important milestone on the way has been achieved”.

With the ERP software SAP S/4HANA, an innovation platform will be established on which epsotech can bundle the competencies of the individual locations and further increase operational excellence. SAP S/4HANA maps the entire value chain and provides all management information in real time. This gives epsotech a competitive edge, making the company fit for a future in which customer requirements are becoming increasingly complex.

“As an international company operating in several countries and serving a wide range of industries, epsotech was looking forward taking the next steps on the digital journey to ultimately benefit from all the advantages of an integrated, uniform system that will also serve as our central digital core for all further digitization activities we have on our agenda”, says Daniel Faller.

Over the next two years, this system will be implemented on a groupwide level at all European locations.
